"You have recently started work in a new company. Write a letter to an English-speaking friend. In your letter, • explain why you changed jobs • describe your new job • tell him / her your other news Write at least 150 words."

Hello dear friend, I hope you are doing great. I have a lot of news to tell you. I am very happy to say that I took a 7.5 band score on IELTS. After that, many companies offer me suitable jobs. As you know my
last
profession was boring as I had to work all day without any breaks and relax. So I decided to change it. And
also
my parents did not allow me to work here. Because, as they said, that job gave me stressful time during the day. Anyway, now I have a good occupation that can provide me with all opportunities like relaxing time. I have a great mood during work. Because we can make conversation while working. And one advantage of my new job
that is
I make a lot of friends who are so lovely and kind. If you have free time, I wish to recommend you to come here. Because there are many vacancies here. Yours sincerely, Rustamova Laylo Laylo Rustamova

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
