By developing and implementing programs that address professional practices and standards, the Center for Conflict, Law and the Media interacts with the local, national, and international community to

• promote a constructive role for journalists in shaping the effects of a social conflict;
  
• foster accurate and appropriate coverage of law and conflict; and
  
• facilitate the effective management of conflicts within newsrooms.
